Okay, when editing a file with teh internal editor on 2xExplorer, the editor sometimes says the file cannot be saved because Access is denied.
Now, I can almost always reproduce this if I have an IE open and edit the HOSTS file. The problems are twofold:
1. If I edit the same file with Notepad, it can savve the file
2. 2xExplorer notes teh error message, but tags the file as saved already (the modified flag vanishes), which, whhen you close the editor, does not ask you back if you want to close the eidtor because nothing has been modified.

Thanks,
Fuggs

this is a known feature
the internal viewer will READ (F3) a shared file but it won't write onto it. It will also clear the modified flag unfortunately. The external editor2 behaves in a similar fashion but it's more careful with the modification flag
