x2 0.0.0.38 rename feature

First I have to admit ;o) , .38 offers almost everything I needed like the double click in the pane to go upper (I missed it so much...)

I even forgotten about the drive bar for there is CTRL ALT Shortcut

I find the F2 and CTRL F2 feature a bit tricky.
I'd prefer it to work that way :
F2 : allows to edit file.ext but selects file instead of the whole file.ext
(this is when extensions are not hidden of course)

CTRL F2 : perfect, don't change !

Is there a mean to have it by the registry ?
What do you, other users, think about it ?

Otherwise, just a bool registry key to select basename or fullname when (simple)renaming 'd be sufficient.

if you want it working like that you can go to explorer's folder settings and hide the msdos extensions for known file types. Now that you can have a separate extension column it is workable. Then you won't see extensions in the name column at all
