Plea for file types column

Yes yes, I've read the faq on this matter, but really a file types column is needed. Why? Ever renamed a file, with the extension displayed, only to delete the extension by accident, meaning you have to rename the file again and put the extension back on. Not much of a big deal you may think but it seems that most people turn to 2xexplorer for its speed as well extra features. Having a file types colum would eliminate the need for displaying the file extensions and remove the annoyance of making the mistake of deleting the extension by accident, hence increasing productivity/speed.

Never come in drunk, messed around a bit on the computer, only to wake with a hangover and files all over the place with wrong names?
