ADM Policy files

Post by m.geuskens »

L.s.

I'm using explorer2 1.3.0.3 [Unicode] Pro. I've got a problem with opening adm files (Group Policy files). Opening them in Notepad keeps the original layout. Opening them with Editor2 screws up the layout. It looks like every RETURN is removed. Anyone a clue why this is?

Regards,

M. Geuskens, Netherlands.

Wordwrap doesn't solve the problem.

With ADM files I mean *.adm (adm is the extension). Standard files present on any W2k or WXP system in c:\windows\inf dir. They're used to set policies on Windows systems by using gpedit.msc. Basically policy templates files.

oh, right
anyway i just checked a few of them and they appear ok
perhaps you're bitten from the richedit version as explained in:
http://netez.com/2xExplorer/faq.html (FAQ#24)

can you see them properly within x2's quickviewer at least?

I just found that only some self customized adm files reveal this problem. Official MS policy file templates indeed don't show this problem. Strange...

anyway thanx for the advise.

PS

Riched20.dll is version 3.0 so that shouldn't be the problem
