Unique name for Ctrl-B batch file, please

Post by wasker »

Steps to repro:
1. Go to folder A, select files, Ctrl-B, Execute (DOS)
2. While command from step 1 is running, go to folder B, select files, Ctrl-B, Execute (DOS)
3. Observe that command on step 1 eventually fails, because the batch file had been changed.

That'd be great if the file name would be generated uniquely. BTW, batch files can delete themselves, if leftovers from this operation is a concern (not sure how A/V reacts on that though).

in that case you would have to choose EDIT button and save under a different name yourself as a workaround :)

Aw, don't give me that! :) I usually remember about this quirk when I run the second batch command, not before that.

I agree with wasker that some kind of auto-renaming is needing for the batch files... something similar to the way x2scrap.txt is handled (x2scrap2.txt, x2scrap3.txt) should work...
