Qnap aggregated folders

Post by misja.geuskens »

L.s.

Qnap released their new 4.0.x firmware. After a successful install I noticed something weird. One can define an aggregated folder on the appliance which contains several shares. This is quite handy since I only need to map one drive-letter to be able to access multiple shares. However, after upgrading to the new firmware I wasn't able to access the folders on this drive anymore through Xplorer2. I received a notification stating Z:\Folder is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect.

Accessing the shares through Explorer2 on my NAS directly wasn't a problem. The real strange part though, was, after accessing these folders through Windows Explorer, suddenly I could access these folders through Explore2 again!

Deleting the mapped network drive, removing the Windows Credentials under Control Panel/User Accounts, a reboot and recreating the network drive resulted in the same behavior.

I hope someone has an idea to solve this situation.

Kind regards,
Misja
