When press [Shift] key and click [Delete] button on the toolbar, it create verticle line.
Is there a way to do permanent delete files/folders?

are you trying to delete from the mini-scrap pane?

You have to do Ctrl-Delete to permanently delete from scrap panes... I'm not sure that applies to mini scrap (I don't use it) but it seems to...

Yeah, Delete and Shift-Delete just remove files from scrap panes... to actually delete files you have to do Ctrl-Delete or Ctrl-Shift-Delete...
to do it with the mouse it's best to add the Trash icon to your toolbar...

Yeah, you can't Shift+click from the toolbar to permanently delete. This is a bug that's been around for years. (Search the forums if you want the backstory.) What you need to do is Shift+double-click the delete icon on the toolbar to permanently delete files. Or, you can add the "Trash" icon to the toolbar for permanent deletion.

if you turn on the ribbon there's a drop-down next to delete button with other options like trash

If I remember correctly you have to:

Click and hold delete, then
hold shift
Release

if you have to use the keyboard anyway to press the SHIFT, isn't it easier to do the lot (shift+del) with the keyboard and have no fuss or fumbling?

Using left shift and left mouse button is the combo, I presume, that is in use.

Trash toolbar button can be used, alternatively.

Wow, It work. Thank very much.

Since I am not expert in keyboard, I prefer one hand for keyboard one hand for mouse.

Actually, no it isn't. At least for people that use their right hand to control the mouse.

The accelerator keys (shift, ctrl, alt) are all available to the left hand in it's normal position on the keyboard, so, with the right hand on the mouse (where the GUI forces it to be way too much), then (accelerator-key)+left click is very easy. However, the Delete key is not easily reached by the left hand, so either the let hand has to move to find the Delete key or the right hand has to return to the keyboard from the mouse. Either option is a break in continuity/work flow.

i can correct this bug easily but then you'd lose the shift_click_drag_button_rearrangement toolbar customization mode

Wow, that's an interesting secondary effect!

As the OP appears to be satisfied with the work-around, however non-intuitive it may be, I'd recommend leaving the patient alone for now as the "cure" appears to be worse than the "disease". And with the ribbon feature you mentioned, this is even less a hindrance to us mouse-centric users  .

Since it has Lock toolbars function, maybe you can ignore the shift_click_drag_button_rearrangement.
