Today when starting Xplorer2 I first got a message that a file is corrupt (the file with the miniscrap containing shortcuts to most used directories) an then the message popped up requesting a new license.
My license is for version 3.00 and not yet a month old ...
WINVER: 6.1-7601 (Windows 7 Professional) x64
X2 Version: 3.0.0.3 [Unicode] x64
Reference: X2.2-A425B9B0
What may be the reason for this behaviour? A windows quirk? The bad water level in the toilette?

try to run it again and make sure your antivirus is not strangling xplorer2 in any way
Re: Out of the blue: requesting license key
Well, I entered the license data - and at the next start all was OK (there was no currupt miniscrap)...
So of course my question was somewhat rhetoric.
