there is no net.exe in the official xplorer2 distribution. I don't know how you ended up with it. It could be dodgy. You should only install xplorer2 from the only authentic location, the website: www.zabkat.com/x2down.htm

right in xplorer² is none net.exe because this is a Microsoft file
xplorer² starts cmd.exe and cmd.exe starts net.exe from Windows Folder

xplorer2 doesn't start cmd.exe unless you launch a command through xplorer2

Perhaps a hardlink to net.exe in Windows/System32 has crept into the zabkat\xplorer2 folder. X2 can show a Links (hardlink count) column, if its greater than 1 then that's what it it is. Any way its got no business being there - so delete it. It's a tool for system administrators, mainly used on servers.

Using Win 8 / 6.2.9200, I get various files created in XP2's program folder all the time. Scripts and commands launched by XP2 seem to use the 'current directory' by default, so any files they create end up right beside xplorer2_64.exe. When my output seems to not-exist, that's where it can be found. This same problem exists for scripts started by launchers other than XP2. Every dot-BAT script needs to set its own current directory to put the output where it should go.
