bitdefender blocks zabkat?

Post by nikos »

I heard from some people that run bitdefender on their computers that it blocks access to www.zabkat.com
anyone here with a 3rd party antivirus installed, do you have problems accessing the website?
please give it a quick check and let me know if there are problems
thanks

In keeping with the long tradition of good Russian/Greek relations, Kaspersky has no problems.

That being said, Zabkat is HTTP, whereas many AV web-scanners these days continuously force people (by default) into not trusting anything that isn't HTTPS, so whiny certificate issues tend to arise from unexpected places. (For example, Kaspersky works fine through Firefox out of the box, but requires all sorts of hoops and jumps to work with the Thunderbird email client - who knows why.)

Then again, one's choice of browser can have amusing side effects no matter which side of the fence you sit on...

its these false alarms in virustotal, you spend ages trying to clean them up and in the process they make the whole website appear "dodgy"
