X2.50 file size partly disappears

Post by JRz »

Nikos, the file size indication on the right hand side in the status bar (the section showing folder sizes and file timestamp) doesn't show the entire string when multiple files are selected.

If the files selected are big, the larger folder size number pushes the rest out of the reserved space, so the timestamp is partly covered by the section on the status to the right of it (the one showing the number of selected item(s) and in the latter case the total file size)

how bad is it? sometimes just the seconds are cut-off which is not too bad
it is easy to enlarge this pane but then people may have problems reading the messages printed in the leftmost area

But then you were going to make that display box with multiple status figures for both panes.

Once that is implemented, this little ommision would not matter.

Not bad at all. Just thought I'd report it anyway. To be honest: I don't use that number or time indication at all. but when it's being displayed, it should show all IMO, because someone could wonder what else he/she is missing on the right hand side...

Perfect if it is moved to the configurable pane which is planned for other status info thingies as narayan mentions...
