Comparing two folders

Post by lank »

I wonder if this is possible. When I process a photo RAW file a sidecar with the extension .on1 is created and the new photo has the original file name with "_on1" appended.

I'd like to compare two folders. One (1) has only the extension .on1 and start with the file name and the other (2) has RAW, xmp, jpg files. I'd like to filter and show only those in folder 2 that have "_on1" in the file name so I can see if any of the files in folder 1 has the same name with the extension .on1.

As in example. Folder 1 has 1234.on1 and 1235.on1 and Folder 2 has 1234_on1.jpg and 1235.jpg. After filtering I'd only see 1234_on1.jpg in folder 2 but at the minimum see only all the xxxx.on1 files.

for this kind of comparison you can use MARK > CHECK BUILD menu command. The transformation will be from .ON1 to .JPG and you can mark all those files that weren't converted. For more information please see the quickstart guide (F1 key)
