Unfortunately, I had to abandon the purchase because your payment system wanted to charge me VAT on top of the quoted price. As this was a company purchase no VAT is applicable because when selling within the EC VAT is not chargeable to VAT registered businesses.

No it doesn't. At least, not if you are paying by PayPal. Maybe you could send me a PayPal invoice manually without the VAT included? If you can do that, I can provide you with all necessary details by PM, if you don't already have them on file.

Remind me, does the Professional version integrate with Windows Search (i.e. use the Windows search index) or is that only the Ultimate version.

Not sure if I told you, I'm using the Epub iFilter you filched from.... Foxit (?) - to good effect.

I sorta knew it wasn't Foxit, hence the ' ? '

At the moment I select the folder where I want to start the search, press 'O' to open File Explorer, and do the content search from there. What would I gain by taking up your upgrade offer. I should watch your video i guess.

BTW when does the offer expire, I only noticed it yesterday.

Added: watched the video, but I already knew it would be quick. I make use of the MS advanced search syntax quite a lot (I have several 'templates' stashed away into my snippets box), and I don't really like form filling - can the Find form be saved with a name.

both xplorer2 and deskrule allow you to save search patterns, perhaps deskrule is easier to handle as all attribute boxes are always visible and ready to accept input

I've never looked at Deskrule - will do so in next day or two, but I'd then be jumping into it from X2. I don't think I really need the advanced search panels so I'd probably think about DR Lite.

I'm not unhappy with jumping out to explorer to do searches, but it would be nice to do them in X2. I'll have look at DR but I'll probably get X2 Ultimate.
