Link to folder opens a Windows explorer window instead of opening the link inside xplorer2

Sorry if there is an obvious solution, I was not able to find it on forums.

Whenever I click on a folder link inside xplorer2 pro version 1.8.1.4, it opens the folder inside Windows 10 explorer, instead of opening the folder inside the same xplorer2 window.

What setting do I need to change inside xplorer2 or inside Windows 10 to have the desired behavior?

if you click on a folder on your desktop, which program do you see opening? xplorer2?

When I click on a folder on my desktop, nothing happens.

When I double click on a folder on my desktop it opens in Windows Explorer, as expected.

And correction from my initial post: when I double click on a folder link in xplorer2, it opens the folder inside Windows 10 explorer.

instead of double click press ctrl+L in xplorer2 to follow the link (works for folders and other shortcuts)
