bad selected folder

Somtimes, in the tree there is a selected folder, but in the panel it is the content of another folder (the previously selected folder):

Here I click on "Géographie, Espace". Then I right click on "Cartes", open the properties and close.
I understand that "Carte" is still highlighted (but it can to be not), but I think there is a big confusion considering that "Géographie, Espace" is not highlighted.
For example : keeping "Géographie, Espace" normaly highlighted, and put "Cartes" with the blue highlight without bold ?

sorry about that, I've just seen this post!
I suppose you have a point, but the tree changes the highlight in some other cases too without changing the folder. If you want to change the folder, first do a left click, then right click

the same behavior, but under different conditions:

I am in the folder "France":

I click on another software, for example the browser
Then I clic on the arrow at the left of the folder "Géographie, Espace":

You can see that "Géographie Espace" is highlighted, but in the files panel there are not the good files.

the same behavior, but under different conditions:

I am in the folder A, it is highlighted in the tree, and I see the files in it.

I drag a file in the folder B (in the tree)

Now, folder B is highlighted, but the files in the panel are still those in folder A. :?

in my opinion this is a very important problem

you are claiming breach of a "contract" that doesn't exist. For example, highlighting the latest drop target (to see where your files ended up) IMHO is far more important than the current folder, which the end of the day you can see in a ton of other places in the browser pane

press ALT+T to realign the tree anytime

highlighting the latest drop target (to see where your files ended up)
Why not, I think it's a very good idea :)
But, for me, the very most important is : when 1 folder is highlighted in the tree, so what I see in the panel is what is in this folder.
If I can't trust what is in the tree, I must watch the folder path at the top of the panel. I think it's weird, but why not.

maybe my way of work is not the only way, maybe it's not a good way. What's yours (to know in which folder are the files and folders in the panel) ?

I'm sorry to insist :D but If we check "Show disk free space", we must remember that it is the disk in the panel, not always the disk highlighted in the tree.

I don't understand what ALT+T does (or "locate in tree" in the Menu). I tried in several ways, but the only thing I see is a dialog box with "cancel" in it:

try TREE > LOCATE IN TREE menu command instead and see if there's any difference

OK, seen.
When the highlighted folder (A) in the tree in not the folder (B) where are the files in the panel, "View | Locate in tree" highlight the folder B.

but ALT+T don't work (see my previous message).
I've tried to change it in "customise", by removing "ALT+T" and rewrite "ALT+T", but I can't, there is still the "cancel" dialog box. With another keyboard shortcut(SHIFT + >), it is OK.

probably something else you've installed is eating up ALT+T, it works fine for most people

Yes, probably. It's OK for me :-)
