I just got a new laptop and am busy installing programs so I can restore my data. Having setup Windows 10, I of course installed X2 so I could work with the machine. Unfortunately, I have come across 2 issues with X2:
1. the most important is that I am being refused access when attempting to copy data from one pane to the other. The steps taken were Compare followed by Copy to. Is there something I need to tweak in either X2's advanced settings or Windows itself in order to stop this from happening?
2. the second is purely cosmetic and concerns the ribbon. Even though I have copied over the SaboFX XL buttons, the small version of the default is showing. I know there's a simple fix for this but I have forgotten what it is.

Re: Copy to: refused
do you have the latest version installed or something older? The skins need to match the version, and the website only has skins that match the latest version (currently 4.5)
as for the copy problem, can you explain exactly what happens? I don't understand the situation

Re: Copy to: refused
I am using the current version but the skin is an old one so I will deal with that soon. Thanks for the tip.
As to the copying issue, I have taken 2 screenshots which should explain the problem:

I noticed that if I do a Ctrl/C and a Ctrl/V it works although I have to give administrator permission to proceed. In other words, Windows is preventing me from using X2's copy function.

Re: Copy to: refused
copying into Program Files is "prohibited" for normal programs. You must either use drag-drop or paste as you did, or run xplorer2 elevated. For more information see here: www.zabkat.com/blog/14Feb10-surviving-UAC.htm
Re: Copy to: refused
Well it's all very odd because I am using my previous machine as I type. This was new in autumn 2017 and has Win 10 Pro. I seem to remember encountering the same issue initially but ever since I have been able to use Copy to into all folders including robust commands. I believe I managed it via a 3rd party application but I can't remember whether it was "O and O Shutup 10" or "Winaero Tweaker".
