Alt+Q doesn't work because it's already assigned to "Switch between Draft and Native quick preview tabs".

Anyway, if I did re-assign it, what's the point? Ctrl+Q gives me a preview and I then simply use the arrow keys to select the file. With Peek preview it's Alt+Q, down arrow to next file, Alt+Q .... Double the keystrokes - less efficient!

it's all about preview size
anyway, if you don't like it, you don't like it :)

Found 1 problem and 1 potential problem.
  1. If I navigate to a folder, the ".." is selected by default - and when it is, Miller columns will not activate for the tab. However, if I go back to the previous folder, it then magically activates.
  2. I can't seem to get the Peek Preview to activate. The option is not grayed out, but neither clicking on it from View --> Peek preview nor using [ALT] + [Q] seems to be working. Am I missing something? Maybe on how it works?
Let me know if you want another video of what is going on. IIRC, isn't there a setting that automatically selects the .. entry when entering any subfolder, or am I just making things up in my head?

For me, with ".." selected, nothing happens with Miller columns enabled. However, pressing [Down arrow] or the first letter of a folder name, activates the next column?

Not here. If I am in a tab and the .. is highlighted / selected, and I then enable Miller columns, nothing happens - not even moving the selection down through other folders / files in that tab.

Only by opening a folder or backing to parent folder does it activate.

But I'm beginning to suspect that is by design lol.

I am not sure what you mean, can you make a little demo video about the .. item?

as for ALT+Q, I have also seen that occasionally it somehow gets stuck (I saw it once to be exact). I haven't managed to pin it down yet, but there is a bug somewhere. If you clone a new window (CTRL+N) then it should be working again

see if you can discover a way to make it stuck (not opening) always?

Alright. I'll try to make 2 small ones highlighting each issue. And my settings have not changed since last time.
