Accessing virtual folders

Post by JohnP »

Hi Nikos
Sorry to hear about your father, I hope he recovers soon.

When you do get back to working on xplorer2 there's a bug thats been there since 2explorer days and I just haven't got round to reporting it

I have two additional virtual folders on my system: a "Pagis inbox" and "My Psion" The pagis one is actually a real folder with additional attributes for manipulating scanned images, but the Psion is a link to my Revo PDA that auto connects when the folder is accessed in windows explorer.
Both of these crash xplorer2 with the following report:
Debug assertion failed
file C\documents...\kenny\helpers.cpp
line:209
Expression: name.GetLength

hope you can fix this, I'll then be able to ditch WE for good :D

OS W98 SE
X2 version 0.0.0.52 and all previous.

regards

John

thanks for your concern!

what happens if you "Ignore" the crash? (see readme.txt). Will you be able to read the contents and perform file management operations?

Hi Nikos
what happens if you "Ignore" the crash? (see readme.txt). Will you be able to read the contents and perform file management operations?
With the "pagis" folder

Retry: Crash and burn :XPLORER2 caused an exception 03H in module XPLORER2.EXE at 016f:00488af9.

ignore: yes you can browse the folder, although immediately you access a sub folder it crashes again

With the "psion" folder: no go with anything. :(

Thanks

John
