CTRL-Space : Free space or "select"?

Post by eivind »

I enjoy the keyboard shortcuts in xplorer² and 2xExplorer (IMO there's never enough keyboard shortcuts... :))

But; how can I select files/folders when CTRL-Space is assigned to "Free space"? Normally I would do CTRL+arrow down (or up) and hit Space (with CTRL still pressed) to select/mark the file/folder I want.

Now that CTRL-Space shows free space - is there another way to select files and folders? If not; is it possible to use some other combination for "Free space"?

Alt+S activates/deactivates sticky selection. Then all you'll need is to move select the files.

Otherwise, Ctrl+Space still works except that you'll need to let go of Ctrl when you want to select the next item and hold it when you are just moving the caret.
