Shortcut Key for Change Attributes

Post by flexigon »

It would be nice if there was a direct shortcut key for the Change Attributes command.

Additionally I noticed that some shortcut keys "touch" the name of the associated command on the main menu, which makes the menu look kind of ugly. Maybe this is a problem specific to Windows XP (which I am using). In any case it would be nice if this could be "fixed".

any ideas? i couldn't think of a key that's free & makes sense
for simple attribute changes you can use F12 (properties)

menus look rather lame depending on the font. I'll add some spaces here & there

Well, how about SHFT/CTRL+ F12? The F12 group is still free, and it's best to use it for related functions!

I've used F12 for mass attribute changes without any problems.

Yes, that's the default attributes dialog from M$. But using the menu item Actions|Change attributes you get the enhanced X2 interface. That's what we're talking about here...

The X2 dialog lets you change timestamps on files too. That's the main reason it is in there.
Dumb questions are the ones that are never asked :turn:
