Sorting -- AAGGGHHHH

My main problem is the auto sorting.
Drives me crazy that I cannot turn it off. I loath auto sorting.

Because of it I only try out new builds to see if it is still there.
Then back to 2x.

Have you tried Ctrl+Alt+U
or via the menus: View | Arrange by | Unsorted
and does it still auto sort?

Ctrl+Alt+R holds the autorefresh.

I'm not sure why you dislike autosort.
But if it is due to pane jumbling following autorefresh, that can be quashed with a registry tweak. (Look in alpha.txt for CLVOPT_NOAUTOSORT and set that bit in both filepanes.)
That way you can have (usually) desirable sorted displays, yet not be disturbed by the results of an autorefresh.

Have not been around in a long time.
I did this in the registry and it worked:
Left pane settings [binMiscOptions] was set at 10. I changed to 8.
It seems it automatically changed the right pane setting.
I would have never figured this out on my own.

Hooray!
Now if i can get another problem solved I may no longer use 2x.
