Wrong background colour

Post by Robert2 »

Greetings--
I am running Windows XP Home Edition + SP1.
If I use FFF9EC for "rgbInactiveBgcol" as a registry tweak, I am getting a light blue background colour. It should be off-white/yellowish!
Has anybody experienced the same problem?

Try switching it around so you get ECF9FF. The order in the reg entry is BGR, in stead of RGB ;)

Active background color?

Post by kstatham »

This is possibly my favorite software ever. Beautiful.

Anyway, my question is, is there a way to modify the active background color in addition to the inactive background color?

Thanks,
Ken

the active background is the same as all your active windows
it is controllable via Deskop properties | Appearance
(select window from the combo box)
in XP you may need to click on a few "advanced" buttons to get to it

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, that method changes the colors of too many other elements in the Windows environment. I was hoping to just modify the active window of explorer2.

Oh well. I still LOVE this software.

Thanks again!
