User Commands and selected items

Post by mimeryme »

I haven't been successful in running a command via User Commands on selected items. The command is carried out, but it is only performed on the focused item.

The command works fine with selected items when using the Script Wizard.

This is the command I was trying out: D:\system\7zip\7z.exe a -tzip "$C.zip" "$N"

In User Commands, I prefixed the command with $ to indicate that it should be performed in a command line.

I've tried using $S, but unfortunately the command doesn't take such a parameter.

Am I expecting something I shouldn't or am I just doing it wrong?

tip # 108 clarifies this point (x2tips.rtf). Addressbar commands only apply to the focused item
