Show/hide system & hidden files keyboard shortcut

Post by wasker »

My usual file browsing mode is "Hide system & hidden files". But sometimes I need to enter, say, Application Data folder, which is system. So I have to go to options and tick the option, do the job, then clear check box.

Maybe it makes sense to add a keyboard shortcut that will switch this option and make Ctrl-R?
I'm using Xplorer2 - the only file manager that does not suck. Actually, it rocks!

yes probably would, but keyboard shortcuts are in short supply & being
allocated very sparingly.

....about as valuable as gold at present in xplorer2  :)

the "solution" to this problem is to define a custom "layout" that has this option checked, while leaving it unchecked in the "default" layout .

Whenever you want to see a folder with all its contents you just spawn a new window of that type (Window menu)

window layouts are quirky but offer a loophole into /S command line option for separate registry keys

Hi Nikos,

Do you plan to implement windows layout so that it applies to the current xplorer2 instance instead of opening a new window any time soon ?

This feature has been high on my xplorer2 wishlist for quite sometime :(

-Thanks
