Still a bit slow compared to XnView's though. Would be nice if users get to set it to their preferred.  I have a fast computer, lol.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread (I don't check the forum much these days), but have you tried Picasso?? Its been a while since I used it, but I seem to remember that you there was a slider to adjust the thumbnail size which could be made very large (ie full screen). Not sure if this is what you meant my "real size", but personally I don't find 1:1 very useful anymore with such high resolution digital cameras and printers. Then you can fly around your photos with the scrollbar as I believe you are requesting. I remember it being pretty responsive.

Of course the target audience is not advanced users so there are some other issues that limit the programs usefulness, IMNSHO.

Just a thought.
