hi nikos and everyone,
haven't commented in ages but still around!
whilst attempting to filter inside the recycle bin (ALT+H) it did not filter out the file(s) at all. And when filtering for '0' (zero) it only flitered and displayed some of the files.
just noticed whilst using just now. not sure if anyone else has experienced this.
hope everyone's well etc.
regards,
osei
filter inside recycle bin

the names in recycle bin are not what they seem. Try the following: to select by name, type in the addressbar (notice the : colon)
: part_of_name_you_want
that should select all matching names
within Alt+H it should work if you pick the other Name column from additional rules. It won't work if you use the Named field because the names you see are not the real ones

Nice suggestion, I'd never thought of that and it appears to work very well. I couldn't see any mention of it in the documentation.nikos wrote:... within Alt+H it should work if you pick the other Name column from additional rules. Narayan, it might be worth adding it to the documentation, in the section "Using the Recycle Bin" perhaps?
Thanks Narayan, it was just a little tip that Nikos was aware off which I thought might be useful to other users.narayan wrote:I will do that.
Bu in general there is no need to manipulate the contents of the recycle bin.
Rarely a user may need to select a few items and then restore them.
Restoring items is the situation I've come across but, as you say, it's not very often.
