Custom tab colors and static tab length...

How about adding an option for customizing active/inactive tab colors and specifying a static tab length?  This will make visual identification of tabs and click-switching between tabs more efficient.

I also support the idea of modern/nicer and more distinct tabs. The best option would be if the applied skins could affect the tabs (the tabs would be skinable along with other elements of the program).
