Find files containing text

Post by plas »

Find files containing text (Ctrl+G or Ctrl+F) can be used only for English files or UTF-8 or Unicode files. It does not work for ANSI or OEM files.
text in file: LOWER, text in dialog box: LOWER, case sensitive: not checked - ok, found
text in file: LOWER, text in dialog box: UPPER, case sensitive: not checked  - ok, found
text in file: UPPER, text in dialog box: LOWER, case sensitive: not checked  - bad, NOT found
text in file: UPPER, text in dialog box: UPPER, case sensitive: not checked  - bad, NOT found
text in file: LOWER, text in dialog box: LOWER, case sensitive: checked - ok, found
text in file: UPPER, text in dialog box: UPPER, case sensitive: checked  - ok, found

My ANSI files code page is 1250 and my OEM files code page is 852.

you got a point there! i tried it with greek and it's not working properly. Have you tried using the last encoding option (below RAW), which is ansi-greek? you can change it to a different CP using the gui registry settings editor

the funny thing is today i also fixed a find text problem for oriental windows... anyway, try this debug version
www.zabkat.com/kenny.7z
it looks to be working for greek at least, does it work for you?
if you see assertion errors just click on IGNORE button. If you can get me the debug output too that'd be great!

thanks

I could reproduce the bug for German language with version 1.7.2.2. I could not reproduce it anymore with the version you've sent me.
