Filtered vs unfiltered folder pane

Post by jcmn »

hello

I'm new in the forum, it's my first message. I registered Xplorer2 a few days ago and it is one of the strongest in features I have ever seen.

I have a minor issue that I would like someone to explain:

How do I see the difference between a filtered and an unfiltered folder pane?

There is no sign (color or whatever) that differentiate the two states.

Open the advanced settings editor (Tools | Advanced Options) and under the Layouts Setting you will find Filtered panel background.

It's actually a registry setting and is also mentioned in the registry.txt document.

There is also a small funnel displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen if a filter is active in the pane.

Thank you

It's done.

But since access to advanced settings is only possible shutting xplorer2, sometimes xplorer2 doesn't shut properly or doesn't shut at all. It keeps running in memory. I have to terminate it.

If you chose to have x2 replace explorer when you installed it it will stay resident unless you exit with Alt-X.

There is an option in the setting editor to disable staying resident... in the global section.
