Windows 7 - recent, frequent and pinned folders don't appear

Post by dsided »

In Windows 7 when I have pinned an application (like the windows file explorer) to the task bar, when I right click I get a list of frequently opened or recently opened folders.

I can pin any of these folders by clicking the pin icon and they appear in a new permanent menu above the frequent/recent folders list.

Is this possible in xplorer2?

This is a really efficient feature for you to keep your frequently opened folders easily accessible (in two clicks!) and I would love to have this in xplorer2. Maybe I'm not doing something right, but I suspect something needs to be amended so windows logs recently opened folders.

i haven't looked into that feature but xplorer2 has its own (multiple) ways to bookmark and reference recent folders, see these demo videos for some ideas:

Speaking of which. I would love to have a bookmark option which would allow me to pin certain bookmarks to x2's taskbar icon. Say, I don't care about FTP bookmarks there, but bookmarks to destinations like Projects or Live Mesh folders would be nice to have pinned to the Frequent List of x2's icon.
I'm using Xplorer2 - the only file manager that does not suck. Actually, it rocks!
