Does x² work with AutoHotKey?

Using ac'tivAid, a collection of scripts for AutoHotKey, I have a special operation to create directories with subdirectories on Ctrl+N. Is there any way to make this work with x²?

Yes you can use autohotkey with X2. Menuhack and Menu++ are example of some of Autoit/autohotkey scripts that Nikos mentioned in his blog.

I haven't used ac'tivAid, but I think you may have to make some changes to its source to make it work with X2.

I don't know ac'tivAid, but you may need to specify x2's window class (ahk_class ATL:ExplorerFrame) so that the script will use x2. You can use AHK's Window Spy to grab all the active window info.
