Preview pane now on the right?

Am running 1.8.0.1 x64 on Win 7 64,

The preview pane used to display under the tree, now it is to the right of the folder panes (single or dual). Can't find anything in options or Advanced.

BTW what is the 'Pin' button in the Preview pane meant to achieve - no mention in the manual - doesn't seem to do anything

Tools | Options | Advanced | Quick preview pane docked to the right side

The pin button  pins the displayed item, you can then select other items in the file list, keeping the pined item displayed.
