AVG: false positive?

Post by nikos »

I have a couple of users complaining about AVG antivirus reporting xplorer2 as a virus, has anyone here seen that with the latest version? (pro or lite)

I've just submitted x² to Virustotal and every AV (including AVG) declares it clean.

Hi, Niko:

By the way, I myself don't know about AVG (don't use it), but I've given a try to VIPRE (http://www.vipreantivirus.com/) (suite) and it reports (or it used to, since I tested it a couple of days ago) as dangerous the invisible registration related file xplorer² places in Windows folder.

Kind regards from Brazil.
