changing file order with mouse

Post by lian »

Sorry for this dumb question. Reading the help file, I discovered I could change the order of files with drag and drop and keyboard. But I cannot remember where I found that and how I did it...

See page 60 in the PDF manual.  I think <CTRL-SHIFT>-UpArrow and <CTRL-SHIFT>-DownArrow are the keys you're looking for.

Too bad it shows instantly only in list mode. In thumbnail mode, it works but does not show. You have to go back to list mode then again Thumbnail view to see the moves.

I knew this, but it reminds me that I wanted to suggest (if possible), to enable moving not only single files but also selected groups of files.

Also it would be nice if this manual sort order could be copied (for instance with alt+C). As of now it doesn't preserve the manual sort and puts it alphabetically into the clipboard.
