Post by nikos »

my stylist says that orange icon doesn't go with the green website theme, but is the green version any better?

How about yellow folder on top of dark-plum?

It's not the green or orange that's icky, its the puke-y shades of brown & yellow.  :(

Frankly, I like the orange--and the puke-y shades of Cambodian khaki and yellow, for that matter.

Then again, you should see how I'm dressed.

I like the "cambodian chaki" but I'd call it dark olive.

A palette builder suggests blue as a preferred colour to contrast with the khaki.

Between the green and orange, I prefer the orange.

Like I always said, JCB is superior anyway.  Great big orange machines that turned Cambodia into a parking lot for China.  (What good's a poll where there's no aesthetically dissenting vote?)

I like the orange icon.
But it does not go well with the olive green background.

Usually the brand's logo is sacrosanct.
So keep the icon and change the background.

The green icon does not look good, and it does not match the background.
But two negatives don't make a positive in this case. :)

Hard to choose. The orange one doesn't go very well with the chaki. But the bright green with the chaki is, as we say in Dutch, a cursing combination.

i agree the orange one is nicer, though something needs to be done about the background if that's to be the icon choice...

I have to agree with fgagnon. I'm stomach sick at the moment and those background colours are exactly the same as the stuff I leave in the sink right now. I really don't like it.

what background colors, there are tons of colors in the page! The one behind the text, the header or the page surround?

If I have to choose one of the two, I'll go with Orange.  I think it seems friendlier because it's more familiar (closer to the current).

I'll also agree that neither goes well with the cambodian chaki background....
