i am wasting a lot of time and effort worrying about windows 98 and such. Why do I bother? Are there any win9x users left? If so please speak up or I will drop the 9x support from v2.0. Most of the new features added are irrelevant to older windows anyway!
My name is 'censored' and I am a 98SE user. (Standard introduction at 98SE users anonymous)
Xplorer2 Pro v1.8.14 ASCII,Unicode & 64bit (Lifetime Licence).
I use three computers.
1/ Ten year old 98SE desktop - the one I use the most, fast and responsive for routine light tasks.
2/ Eight year old XP SP3 desktop - slow and unresponsive with any task.
3/ Eight month old Win7 64 laptop - fast and good to use once the UAC is disabled.
It would be nice to retain basic 9x support in v2.0 if only for bug fixes and the small number of compatible new enhancements.
Also will the 'portable' version will less useful if 9x support is dropped?
Obviously my reasons are entirely selfish and ultimately it is up to you whether the extra work involved is justified.
Keep up the good work with this excellent application.
