Feature request: One tab for both panes.

Post by dansherman »

As far as I can tell this isn't possible, please let me know if I am wrong.

I'd like to be able have both panes in a single tab instead of multiple tabs per pane. Is that possible?

i'm not sure what you mean. If you want to get rid of the second pane just use View > Dual pane menu command

i have no idea, only thing i could think of was 'mirror browsing'.

have 2 panes open (View Menu >> Dual Panes (ctrl+o), and close all tabs. Then navigate to the same folder in both panes (Goto Menu >> Same Folder (ctrl+i), and next use Mirror Browsing (Goto Menu >> Mirror Browsing (ctrl+m).

Only thing I could think of.

Dansherman - does this help?  Please provide further details.

I think dansherman is describing the way Nomad works where the panes and tree are under each tab, rather than the tabs under each pane.

Gandolf - exactly!
I'm usually working with different pairs of folders, so it would be nice to be able to quickly switch from pair to pair.
