Moving xplorer² to a new computer

If I get a new computer in the future, to move xplorer² to it, will I just have to install xplorer², enter my activation code, and import my saved settings file? Will this bring over all my custom icons and settings?

One of the reasons I ask it I would be jumping from Windows XP to Windows 8. Now that I think about it a little what happens to all the bookmarks that no longer point to the correct folders?

This is probably a couple weeks away.

there's not much you can do about non-existing bookmarks but for the rest you have the right picture

Whatever is path-dependent won't work/display as before unless you put the same stuff in the same location. Custom icons will be displayed only if you import the settings after you have placed the icon files in a folder that has the same path as the old one.

The ini/reg file contains program parameters, it does not embed other files in it.
