Option to position Tab Bars vertically would fix that - or a 30" 2560×1600 monitor
If nikos wanted to introduce vertical tab bars then could the positioning of such be independently configured for each pane - e.g. horizontal on top for the first (left/top) pane, and vertical on right for the second (right/bottom) pane etc.

Right. Screens become wider and applications become less wide. There is less screen height to waste these days, still applications tend to have more and more toolbars or whatever. Microsoft's "ribbons" are sort of a sick joke.
