Hi everyone, I'm a complete newcomer to your community having just installed xplorer2 as an intended replacement for Directory Opus (which is good but too big and daunting).
Can I start with a question which probably has an obvious answer which I'm too thick to see.  Why does xplorer2lite persist in showing hidden files and how do I get it to stop ?

re your question -
simply uncheck menuitem:
Tools | Options... | Show hidden files and folders

PS - you would do yourself a service to read up a bit on the program features. They are well-summarized in the Quick start guide ( Help | Quick start ) and thoroughly documented in the user manual ( F1 ).

Thanks for your help, mate. I new it would be obvious. I've taken your advice about reading up on the prog. Hopefully I'll be able to dispense assistance soon.
