Default Application

Wasn't able to find out from the manual how to change the default application used to open all of the files in a folder.  In my case, I'd like to open all of the photo files in a folder to Irfan View.  Changing the app for a photo does change the display as desired but doesn't alter the default app.

hi i'll try to help.

did you want irfanview to be the default to open all the image files on your system?  

ensure you're running as administrator just in case it's affecting anything, or run irfanview elevated.

open irfanview, goto the options menu, then properties
find extensions settings in the menu
select all the image files you wish to use irfanview for.  press ok
