Size columns

Post by ozzii »

Hi,
the size of the columns in the result panel are not kept beetwen the searches.
Please make it that this can be remembered (maybe an option for that).

the columns depend on what is being searched. If you search for keywords then you will see a keywords column and so on. As for the sizes, they are determined automatically in an approximate fashion

with registry tweaking you can remove the bit CLVOPT_AUTOSIZECOL1 (65536) from binMiscOptions under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\Desk_Rule\view_e900, while deskrule is NOT running and this should help a little for the fixed columns

You can still modify it in the INI, just subtract 65536 from whatever number is in your [view_e900] binMiscOptions entry. However, all this does is turn off auto-sizing which just makes everything worse (the columns all default to "small" and do not retain user-adjustments), so I don't recommend it.

I too, would prefer "common" column-sizes remaining user-set static, though auto-size is better than nothing, as it at least tries.

you are right, this is worse.
So I hope that a "common" column-sizes remaining will be available.
