Moving hard drives - Transferring hard disks between PC's

I have a hard drive that I had added to my old computer and now want to move it to a new one. It's not my boot drive so doesn't contain any of those files. It is partitioned though, and I'm not sure how those will hold up if I move it to another PC. Any advice would be appreciated -- thanks in advance.

The old drive that you are installing in the new computer will simply show up as a new drive letter. The part that is partitioned will also show as a drive letter. You will be able to access the entire drive the same way you access a floppy disk.
As long as there is nothing wrong with the drive, adding it as a secondary slave will not damage the files or partition. You do need to be careful with static discharge. Static electricity can damage a hard drive and other system components.
