I have an IBM clone, Pentium II-350, Windows 98 OS.

The clock runs fast, gaining about a minute per day?

Can this be corrected?

Also is anyone familiar with a "Stack Overflow" problem when Windows 98 boots up. I usualy have a problem once ever 1 to 2 weeks booting up.

Hi Big Bear, At work we have some computer systems that gain or lose time a little bit everyday. Some of these systems are very similar to a pc. When we questioned the problem with time drift, the vendor advised that it's in the CPU card and other than to keep trying CPU cards until the drift is down to a minimum, there is nothing else to do but reset the time. Would you believe that in a large well-known phone utility that they would have some equipment that you would have to check the time on everyday? Oh, yes!!!! Of course, never having worked with an actual pc, I don't know if the problem cause is the same. But my pc does drift a little bit and I usually have to reset a few minutes every couple of weeks or so.
