what makes system restore stop working?

when i run a restore point, after it installs it and re-boots it says that it did not restore the set point

if u have Acronis True Image
u not need this bad service system restor
the programs u install after the point well not work ! after system restor
and if  some virus in u system and u remove it
system restor may be restor it for u
