Hi Nikos (and all),
I just thought of this. I did a 'little' search and not sure if this has been discussed so apologies if it has.
Assume the quick viewer is displayed, and some media file (say mp3) is selected and being previewed from either the left or right pane. Could the selection be 'locked' and continue playing, whilst the other pane be used to browse around other folders?
Regards.
Osei.
Lock selection / pane preview (feature?)

That sounds like it is outside the design intent of a file manager.
In file manager context, the preview pane is not intended to be a player, just a quick sample of the file in focus so the user can hear/view it easily and decide what to do with it before moving on to the next decision.
If you want to play a file, do it in a media player;
then you can continue to browse or whatever else in x2, etc.
But having said that, I confess to having wanted to do just what you ask upon occasion. ;) How do you envision telling x2 to 'hold' the preview focus while browsing elsewhere?

Hi all,
I think I understand the work around, though it's not exactly what I had in mind. I do not want to continue this topic too long (definitely if the 'feature' is not going to be implemented). Is it possible someone could post a screenshot of what you mean and how it would look.
How I thought of the 'feature'... Think of it as if it were a video playing in the previewer. You could preview the video whilst browsing using the other pane. Could be a menu item to enable / disable, or whatever...
Anyway, thanks all.

I knew it...
I knew this would be handy!
Thanks Nikos.
Thanks Nikos.
