"Stock" columns are those created and used by x2 (as against columns provided by Windows). They are identified by the [S] symbol.

For example, there is the Name column (provided by Windows); and there is one more column called Name [S], which is created by x2 itself.

See User Manual for details.

Press ALT+K and in the window that pops up, check out the column names.
(I do not know what appears in Japanese version of x2, though)

i think i have the answer for you, i can see the keywords only with the [S]tock column in xplorer2
@narayan

Thank you, it is mainly a question of language and definition. I was searching for a "[S]tock" column or "tock" in the columns option (Alt+K), but I guess now, what Nikos meant is: in any of the columns followed by a [S]> e.g. Full Name [S], created [S], etc. without specifying which column name?

Sorry, I do my best but I sometimes don't catch the exact meaning.
BTW, I use X2 in English and the OS is English too. So we see the same :)

No problems! This is one forum where we understand the difficulty in expressing something in a foreign language.

Yes, you have understood the idea: There is no column by the name of "stock" or "tock"; but ANY column in the ALT+K window that shows [S] after its name.

Nikos, in deference to your non-English clients, better NOT use such non-standard shortcuts. In this case, your expression [S]tock was interpreted as "the S in the beginning is optional" (so admsupport was looking for a column with "Stock" or "tock" name).

Yeah, now it does :wink:

@narayan

Thanks. I did not know "columns" could be called "stocks". I have looked for a definition after Nikos' first answer, but the result didn't return anything related to columns.

This is explained in the User Manual (see appendix 9E).

(But I just noticed that I have not explicitly explained that the "S" in the [S] symbol actually stands for "stock". I will add that in the next version of UM.)

*********
You may be wondering why columns created by x2 are called "stock" columns.

In English, "stock" means "commonplace", or "routine".
(in any store, such items are available in ready stock at any time).

In the same way, x2 has these columns in "ready stock"; and you are expected to use them in your daily use.
