Any way to remove "xplorer²" on taskbar?
Sometimes I need some folders open on a separate instance of xplorer² (not a big fan of tabs). Is there a way to have the button on the Windows Taskbar to just display the current opened folder and not "xplorer² - <folder>"?
Also, I can't find the option to disable tabs, where is it? I feel really retarded but I am always having trouble finding stuff in the options and advanced options menus

No, because nikos wants the app name there. You can put it behind anyway.Dexter_prog wrote: Is there a way to have the button on the Windows Taskbar to just display the current opened folder and not "xplorer² - <folder>"?
Disable the tab bar or the tab functionality?Dexter_prog wrote:Also, I can't find the option to disable tabs, where is it?

That's pretty awesome, I'm wondering now if I can make it somehow to open folders in a new tab when using my scroll button. It only works if I do it on the tree view, but if I'm browsing a folder and want to open a folder withing it I can't do it, I gotta ctrl+click
Also, everytime I open a folder and x² loads up it opens the folder I clicked and D:\Mp3 (one of the folders of my D drive). No matter what folder I open it also open that folder
edit @ last thing: it was a bug that was caused because I disabled "remember last state before exit". I reenabled it, closed all tabs, exited and disabled it and now works fine

you can't edit xplorer2 menus but you can add your own using menu++

the middle mouse button is reserved for (un)selecting items

I write this at the risk of bringing out the wrath of all the Windows 7 haters/XP lovers that frequent this forum...
Windows 7 Taskbar (AKA the Superbar) does not proliferate multiple instances of an application. Instead, the default setting is to have only one instance of an application on the Taskbar and use Aero Peek with live iconic views of each open instance to display the application's windows. The addition of Jumplists to the right-mouse context menu makes for a much improved UI/UX. X2 Pro supports Jumplists on my computers running Windows 7.
I believe there are applications that mimic these features in XP and Vista. A Google search yielded the following candidates:

Thanks for the link!. Isn't the middle button thingy a little redundant? One can deselect an item by clicking away of it. So no way to change it?nikos wrote:you can't edit xplorer2 menus but you can add your own using menu++

OH, I see. I use ctrl+click for that, but if is not changeable, it is not changeablefgagnon wrote:@ deselect an item by clicking away of it -
But that also deselects any other selected items.
MMB-click toggles ONLY the selection of the MMB-clicked item.
I found out some other thing I dislike (sorry for being a pain in the ass but I have now replaced Windows Explorer with x² ), is there any way to remove this behavior:
While in a folder: doble (left) clicking and empty space goes back to the previous folder.E.g.: I was in D, then go to D:\folder1, I doble click an empty space and I am back in D:\

Concerning MenuHack, I couldn't find the ID for "New > Text document" Is that what I should be looking for?
I am unaware of any way to change that. It is my understanding that D-click in background is a hard-coded feature to go up a level to the parent folder. But nikos would be the authority to say whether there is a user option for this that I missed.

@ ID for "New > Text document" -
How about?
F7 (ID 32795) Create a new (empty) file
