Off-Topic:  A while back someone posted instructions on how to reassign (or hide) drive letters in Vista...  I'm pretty sure it was this forum..  If the poster reads this, can you please link to the post?  I did a search, but didn't see anything.  Did a Google search, but only found registry edit tips...  I think the posted tip was done via a Control Panel item(??)  Thanks.

If you're looking for reassigning (and not hiding), I recently have found another freeware gem (if you like to use the command line).

It's a command line program called remount and you can very easily reassign and even swap drive letters. I prefer it over clicking through disk management etc. Try it:
