nikos wrote:honestly now, how many times you change extensions using <ctrl+F2>?
I use <ctrl+F2> multiple times daily because:
  1. The whole file name plus extension is selected, which is often what I want if I'm about to copy or paste
  2. If I'm typing or pasting over the highlighted text, I know I'm going to be including the suffix and that the suffix might change -- otherwise I would have just used <F2>
Frankly, I despise Microsoft's "If you change a file name extension, the file name may become unusable" dialog box for a couple of reasons:
  1. My answer (and I suspect the answer of many IT professionals) is always going to be yes, so I'd rather there was an option for it never to appear
  2. The dialog does not always appear; e.g. if I'm changing from one unknown extension to another (.wsml to .bak, for example).
So it's unpredictable and when it does pop-up, it's just plain annoying. I find myself actually saying out aloud, "ugghh, .... Y-E-S..." and swearing something under my breath about Microsoft not providing a way to turn this kind of thing off.

My vote goes for a Pro option to obliterate this confirmation window once and for all.
